Where No Monday Has Gone Before

Due to one of those strange things of international distribution, Mondays the local Netflix airs the newest episode of Star Trek: Discovery around here.
So, Monday nights are Discovery Nights.
Also last night did a bit of a marathon with Star Trek: Enterprise, finished the third season, mostly trying to catch up the GF, who become a major Trekkie fan in the last couple of months...
Incidentally, the TRON influence is really strong on that Discovery's screenshot above.

Chrome OS: Configure Mouse Pointer

It turns out you can't.
You're stuck with the default ones,
So this means that once again, I'm stuck with the fucking dreaded I-Beam... It drives me the fuck nuts, besides, now I'm older and that damn cursor is harder to see.

Nexus 10 Blues

Yesterday, out of the blue, the Nexus 10 went onto a bootloop.
The first problem with the little tablet since I got it, really strange.
It's alive once again, had to re-install the image, and then specifically wipe it.
Didn't lose my data, but I have to re-install and configure everything once again.

Patching For The Inevitable

Installed a new firmware on the router at chez Oesediez today.
No doubt it is already old & owned even before I installed it.

(No) Movies During The Weekend

Once again, no movies during this weekend...
Summer is really making it hard to get to watch movies, either we are outside, or the damn heat makes it nearly impossible.
Also, we had a couple of really busy weekends around here.

This Fucking Summer, Again

Today was one of the worst days of this god damn fucking summer so far.
I can't wait for it to end once and for all.

As usual, the mighty stew that the GF careful and lovingly made elevated that pasta plate to Heaven.

Saturday Night Asado

Once again!
Another mighty asado night here at the End Of All Thing, manely, Argentina, asshole of the world.
Luckily, the GF is as carnivorous as me.
Today, we added a chorizo, but I fucked it up, and ended up looking a bit like the penis of a camel squashed by an Afrika Korps tank.
But, nevertheless, the whole asado, even the chorizo, was amazingly good.

A new addition to the "collection" a used Flip C100; the idea is to use it to everything work related, specially when on the road.
Will see how this goes.

Movies During The Weekend

Shit load of movies once again! Yay!

Kilo Two Bravo
This one I watched alone, the GF was sleeping.
Amazingly gripping movie, enjoyed like a MF monkey.

Jungle
We were expecting something completely different, it turned out to be a decent movie.

Kingsmen The Golden Circle
A total meh.
Did not like the previous one, this one was even worst, IMHO... not even the GF was convinced this was a very good movie.

Sunday Night Pasta

And finally we had gnocchi!!
It took us a week, but we did, this particular one from a new -GF recommended- pasta joint.
Seems like we are gonna stick to this place for some time, the pasta was great, and the GF's stew went along just fine.

Another Milanga Saturday

No asado this Saturday night, as it rained, and also brought a temperature drop as well.
Glorious milanesa once again, with the mighty potato tortilla made by the GF.

And now humidity kicked in, and the whole fucking shit became even more unbearable.
Fuck you, summer!
Apparently tonight it'll rain the shit out of this heat, we'll see if it really happens...

Movies During The Weekend

Actually, no movies this time...
Summer makes really hard to watch movies with the GF, we are into a lot of sunshine and reading this days.
Anyway, no fear, summer will end and we'll have to go back to our lair to watch endless movies once again.

I've been watching a couple of films on my own, mostly because the insane heat the last couple of day made sleeping almost impossible.

Yeah, finished the last season, by far the weakest so far.
"Hang the DJ", "USS Callister" & "Metalhead" are this season's finest.

Now I want to watch Restrepo.

Sunday Night Pasta

Sort of an emergency pasta this time, since the original gnocchi we had turned out to be foul, so the GF had to revert to our emergency pasta fund.
Bummer, to say the least, we were already hooked and bound to wolf down those damn gnocchi.

To Boldly Read & Watch

The local Netflix has started once again with the new episodes of Star Trek: Discovery, at least, there is a good thing coming out of this crappy January.
Last night's episode was mighty good.
On another Star Trek related note, started reading The Fifty-Year Mission: The First 25 Years right after finishing Hue 1968.
At first it was sort of a shock, I was even tempted to dump it (I hate leaving unfinished books) but, after a I while I got a hold of the idea of the book, it pretty much resembles the whole idea of the documentary Chaos On The Bridge, that is, an endless stream of interviews, one after another, and like I said, after a while, it does work on the book as well as on the documentary.

It seems I'm listening to music, but not as massively as I used to just a couple of months ago.

Monday night finished reading Hue 1968.
Took me a little over a month to do it, and I loved it.
An excellent way of starting the new year, by finishing a Bowden book.
