Delicious and lovingly made by the GF after a three hour walk on a sunny Sunday afternoon.

Yes, well, in the end. I've chosen to remain with Dropbox...
What can I say, the practicality of what it offers is pretty much addictive, I have a ton of HDD with them, thanks to recs, so... I have to put that available space to work, right?
So, I'm in the process of switching the encrypted $HOMEs of the lappies to regular ones, since all of them are installed on encrypted LVM to begin with, I guess there is not a big security risk.
The whole thing is not as hard as I thought it would be, but, a bit of a PITA nonetheless.

Saturday Night Pasta

As it had become a standard during the last weeks, Pasta on a Satuday!
Another magnificent raviolis, drowned in both the GF mighty stew as well as boiled carrots.
As good as it gets.

Nano Tangerines (II)

The little ones are still going strong.
May the upcoming heat that is heading our way help them grow fast and strong.
It looks like this time I'll finally be able to get something growing here! Tried with apples and tangerines before, but no luck.

In Praise of The Old Apple Cinema Display

I have my Apple Cinema Display monitor since February 2009.
I think it is one of the best computer related purchases I've ever done, even after all this years it still looks amazing, of course, this thing without the ADC Adapter is nearly useless nowadays.

Unseasonably Cool

Lucky me, I guess, right?
Cold weather doesn't leave Buenos Aires yet... The GF hates it with all her guts, and literally can't wait another second for the cold to get the fuck out of town.
Have to admit that this winter (even tho it didn't snow) it was kinda longish and coldish (for local standards at least).

Movies During The Weekend

Actually it was a no movie during this weekend...
A combination of work, social life and family life made impossible for the GF and me to watch no movie at all during the weekend.

Saturday Night Asado

Unfortunately not made by me...
Saturday night we went to a dinner out with another couple, a friend of the GF and her boyfriend.
Only want summer to start in order to be able to make asados once again.

Thinkpad T60p: Disable Bluetooth

Nothing worked (on Linux, specificalluy Debian Stretch...)
Totally unable to disable, and as importantly, to turn off the Bluetooth LED indicator just below the LCD.
So, in the end, did the same thing I did on the T420, disable Bluetooth on the BIOS.
The option to do so on the T60p BIOS is under "Options" > "Network".
AFAIK, hidden from the OS has to be the same as disabling, right?

De-gunking & Un-cracking The T60p

So, yes, summer is just around the damn corner, that, and also the T60p fan was making unbearable growls.
Time to open it up and un-gunk the fan and re-apply CPU paste, getting the little thing ready for a tough summer ahead...

Also, fixed some cracks and other problems on the palm rest with a two stage super glue.
The poor thing is on a really raggedy and beat up state.

Movies During The Weekend

Another one-movie-only weekend around here... You can certainly blame the weather.

Ant-Man and The Wasp:
Really good one.
The GF and I enjoyed this one like little kids, not sure why the critics smashed it.
Maybe they do tend to repeat a bit too much a couple of things that worked on the first one, but it is certainly tolerable.

Raise The T60p!

 And so, just like that, it was time to put the T60p in working order once again...
The old keyboard had a couple of dead keys, and no matter what I've tried, they were effing dead (Link 1 & Link2).

Also, since the thing was wide open, took the chance to repair (that is, to add a bit of Krazy Glue) to a broken bit of the palm-rest.
Maxxed the RAM on the T60p by removing some from the MacBook White... What a hell, everybody has to contribute right now.

Movies During The Weekend

A cool and relaxed weekend around here, not that many movies, but the one we watched was fantastic.

Juggernaut:
Man! What a fantastic movie to re-watch!

The Orville:
Unfortunately, we finished first season this past Sunday.
Really cool final episode, that one and the one with Charlize Theron were the best ones.

Cobra Kai:
And as we finished The Orville, we dived right away to this one, full ahead, even the GF loves it, even tho she'd never even saw The Karate Kid movie.
