Ménage à Trois

Taken last night, what you might call a heavy duty night.
Wasting time with three old friends.
The Dell is connected thru HDMI to the TV while watching Ken Burns The Vietnam War, the T420 is the general purpose one and the X220 hanging around the with the bunch.

The Invaders (Sort of) Retreat

Or at least, they try to merge with the population and make things easy for everybody.
Chrome changed the look of its window controls, so now it looks a little more like they are really part of the desktop they are on.
The thing still needs work,  and it looks like further updates and releases of Chrome will make the whole thing even better.

Hardware from The Past

Yesterday had to fix a couple of things around the house.
Among other things, replaced the flush mechanism with a newer one, the whole thing its a major PITA, but, in the end, things went more or less A Ok.
Here is a picture of the old fixture, guess the thing must be 20 years old or so...

Sicario 2049

It turned out to be actually good, quite good really.
A depressing, oppressive  feeling runs thru the whole movie, a mix of "Sicario" with "Prisoners".
One thing is for certain, Hollywood learn how to represent correctly extreme poverty. something I've noticed for the first time while watching "Children of Men".

Adapta Update && Adapta Update

I usually install the themes I use manually, extracting them and copying to /usr/share/themes.
But about a month or so ago installed Adapta & Numix thru a PPA on most of the boxes around here.
Ever since one thing that baffles me it is how many updates the theme gets, sometimes even twice a day.
