The Current Debian Desktop

It has been a long time since I post my Debian desktop (or any other desktop) here on OE10...
Damn... Guess nothing changes much, except for the weather...

The Current Debian Desktop

It has been a while since I post a screenshot here.
This time, with some Adwaita love.
The combination of Debian, the Optiplex 755 and the Apple Cinema Display is simply amazing.

Nothing changed that much from the last one, but I'm really happy and comfy with the current setup.

The Current Debian Desktop

So once again, still not a definitive one, but getting close to it.
As usual, Adapta does the trick.

Still not a definitive one... But I have to settle for this at the moment.

The Current Debian Desktop

And another one this week...
The previous one bored me, too much chocolate/ green and not enough contrast.
As usual, Adapta delivers.

The Current Debian Desktop

This time with a Linux Mint, or Mint-Y, twist.
Nice and dark, just like the 109 days of quarantine.

The Current Debian Desktop

Taken a couple of hours ago.
Grey and dark, just like the lockdown and the CV19 quarantine.

The Current Debian Desktop

Haven't posted in a while, still on lock down, and under lock down life is a piece of shit.
Since the last screenshot I've posted here I went back to my beloved Optiplex 755 and the Apple Cinema Display, of course is not the fastest setup, but I love it.
Comfy as hell.

The Current Linux Mint Desktop

Yeap... Another month, still on quarantine.
Haven't seeing the GF since March 16th, but, luckily we are all Ok.
Not in the mood to post much, but I'll try to.

Still More QT

Still on quarantine, tomorrow it'll be a month.
We are all Ok, luckily.
Not really on the mood to post much, since everything is a complete piece of shit since this thing started.
On top of everything we still have a bit of a summer weather going on...

The Current Debian Desktop

Not much has changed since the last screenshot post on my beloved Optiplex...
It looks like the dreadful summer weather comes back to Bs. As., luckily I'm on my way out for my holidays... Also, wttr.in is back online.

The Current Debian Desktop

Not much has changed this week... Switched to the Adapta Window Manager theme, and that's it.
I fucking love this setup and my Optiplex 755 + the Apple Cinema Display as my daily driver, comfy, practical and useful as hell.
As a side note, wttr.in has run out of available queries at the moment.

On The Dark Side of The Chrome

The GF got me onto this whole dark mode thing... I've played a bit with a couple of dark themes on Chrome before, but they put a bit of a strain on my crappy boxes, besides, they slowed a bit the browsing experience, so decided to wait until Chrome gets a native dark mode to use it day in day out.
Well, today out of the blue checked how was the native dark mode support on Linux doing, and lo and behold, it is here!

Launch Chrome like this:
/usr/bin/google-chrome-stable --force-dark-mode

But that is not enough. The Chrome interface will get dark, yes, but many, many websites will not.
In order to force a dark Chrome across the board, you'll also have to open the URL:

chrome://flags/

And set this two options:

Force Dark Mode for Web Contents -> Enabled
Prominent Dark Mode Active Tab Titles -> Enabled

Re-start Chrome to see the changes.

The Current Debian Desktop

I utterly fucking love this current setup.
Despite the ungodly heat we're going to have and all that crap...

And another screenshot of my beloved Optiplex 755, no Adapta love on this one.
Finally, after struggling quite a bit with the web browser's top tabs, got used to the Panel on its upper position.
As usual, I love this effing setup.
