Movies During The Weekend

A somehow active weekend, we even went to see a movie to "the real theater"...
I agree with the GF 100% on this batch, all of them were really great.

I loved it, don't understand all the complaints against the movie... What a hell were they expecting? Bergman? This pure Hollywood entertainment, and, IMHO, way better than the crap they are doing with The Avengers.

Pretty cool one, tries hard to add a funny/ slick/ hip side to the 2008 Meltdown,

Un-Marshamellow Your Caller ID on Android 6

So, ever since I made the update to Marshmallow, the caller ID stopped working.
Now, I really don't give much of a fuck about that, mostly because of work I have to answer every call I get on the cell; but the GF - who incidentally updated her Moto G to Marshmallow while on vacation in Miami, it seems that in Argentina that update wasn't available- has a real need for that feature, so, she told me how to fix the problem, and the fix is an amazingly simple one...
You have to simply remove the Gmail account, from Settings > Accounts, and add the account once again.
When all the contacts are downloaded, the caller ID will automagically work once again...

Sleepyhead

Finished reading "Jarhead" yesterday.
Did not like it, one of those strange books that have a better movie then the book itself.
It took me a while to get through it, specially since I hardly read during the vacations, but I finally made it.
Started right away with "Back to Blood" a Tom Wolfe one that I wanted to read for quite some time.

15 Days With The X140e

During the last holidays I took with me the Thinkpad X140e as "the machine".
Even tho I had used extensively since I got it in mid 2015, I've never used it day in day out as the main rig for such a long time.
I have to say that, except for a couple of times when the little lappie chocked for a while loading on a website or two, it performed like a champ.
The damn thing is tough, really built like like a tank, typing on it is pure pleasure.
There are a couple of -I'm pretty sure- software related bugs that pop-up pretty often, sometimes the Unity launcher refuses to execute a Nautilus instance, pretty, pretty annoying.
There other one involves hardware, but I'm not sure it is a total failure, sometimes, after a booting, the the clit mouse and the upper two buttons doesn't work, but the track-pad and the two lower buttons work A Ok.

And so, yes, they are back!
And, along with the death of the goddamned summer, we are starting, slowly at the moment, to watch a shit load of movies with the GF once again!

Holidays With The GF (Are Over)

Well, fuck, what can I say... Holidays are over...
Back at home & working.
But, things were pretty smooth with the GF, we had an amazing time, we didn't fight (not even for music) and enjoyed the shit out of Miami.

Paper Nirvana

I finally got this!
I was lusting this book for years!
Luckily it finally in print on a small, not so heavy edition, one that can be easily transported back home on a carry on luggage without paying a lung and an arm.
Come to think, this is the first real paper book I got in years...

Thing is, the little MF doesn't work on LInux...

A Celebration Of Life
