Darkness is a road seldom traveled by films?

I can't wait for this film to get here, damn it... Loved the book, even tho read it on Spanish and I certainly find the subject matter interesting.

The only thing that I find rather strange, is that every single picture I had seen of the film, and I mean the ones shot on the outside, are rather "light", that is, there is way too much light on them... If you get one thing out of the book, is the somber, dark, oppressive environment... You could almost smell the smoke coming out of the book, and the characters, literally, had to feel what was ahead of them, because they could not see a thing.

I understand if you have to cut corners and you can't shoot the whole thing using real nights, but come on!!! At least use a graduated ND filter to bring the corners down a stop or two.

The best of the whole bunch, in fact, the best movie I saw in quite a long time.

Prairie Home Companion
Strange movie indeed... Or, well, not strange movie, but it was rather hard to put a face to the writer behind the amazing Salon's columns.
Never heard the radio show myself, and I get the whole thing (I think at least) by watching the DVD extras... The whole radio show is a joke, not even a homage.

Duplicity
A duplicitity piecitity of shititty.
Don't even bother renting this... I don't know why I did.

Another Woman
Felt like re-watching it. The path that Woody took nowadays seems like a real mistake, IMHO.

A little Viet Nam does not hurt anybody(on film!!!) ... The Duke performance does :) :P

Was re-reading the out of print original by Hasford, and, thanks to the internet, this time in English, read it on Spanish about 20 years ago.

Strange film indeed, couldn't help but to think on The Last Detail.

I loved it, specially the music, using Philip Glass for the Dr. Manhattan transformation is a great idea.
I was totally in the dark with this movie, knew nothing about it, but I loved it, I think its way better than "300"

Gets my official meh.

Amazing one, thanks god this is not the eighties, some shit head might have proposed Arnold for the lead... Also that Arnold decided to run for politics, it would have ruined the film.

Amazing, I never get tired of this one, Bridges steals the movie.

Hard to tell which is the prettiest, but, having cast Connelly... Other than that, sucks. Don't know why the fuck I rented it.

Alex Proyas, yes.

I wasn't aware this one was a Proyas film till I rented it, I was hoping for more.
