An amazing uptime

Yes, I know, I tend to repeat myself, but I'm truly shocked at this uptime, for a Ubuntu box, a Ubuntu laptop specifically, I find it really amazing.

$ uptime
00:31:12 up 46 days, 21:44, 3 users, load average: 0.57, 0.56, 0.34

Had to postpone a bit the kernel update I linked above, the Canonical server were hammered with Lucid downloads, and getting anything from them was a nightmare... So, the uptime kept actually raising! Until now! Reboot!

Amazing Ubuntu Uptime

I honestly can't remember an uptime on my Ubuntu workstations or laptops that has reached this high, pretty sure it was due to the fact that most of the folks at Canonical might have been with their hands full with the Lucid Lynx release.

The fountain of youth

The fountain of youth
Or, how to get from 90 to zero in just the turn of a switch.
Well, it is back to square one I guess... All the movings around the house forced me to power it down for a while.

A nice, cold holiday with uptimes

The uptime are getting higher
A nice holiday here in Argentina, cold, sunny day, no smoke, not much emergencies; everything seems A Ok.
Even Judith seems to be keeping its sh*t together, so far, 17 days and counting... The longest to this day.

You did your best, darling...

Thats it... Its been good while it lasted
...But there are things beyond your control...
Last night a blackout knocked down Judith, it was a shame since it topped at 15 days, the longest uptime to date.
Usually there are not that many electricity problems where I live, but sometimes they do cut it -once every 3 months, or so, I have noticed-, they tend to do it very, very late on Sundays, actually, very early on Mondays, and luckily only for a few minutes at a time.

Keep on rockin'

Another day, another buck
And Judith simply keeps going and going. It looks like the crashes were network related, ever since I added a cap to all the network related ops, she started to behave like a good girl.
Will see if she makes to 20 days of CPU crunching.

Dear Judith,

Lousy uptimes
Please, please, try to stay up for more than a week...
7 days uptime is nothing for an OpenBSD box, don't be a bitch, please; we all know that you can & want to make it longer out there.

Damn uptime

judith uptime graph
This sh*t is gets me mad... I can't get judith to stay on longer than a week, and the worst of it, the box (luckily, if you stop to think of it) it's not failing with a hardware problem...
It is PEBKAC all around, for whatever effing reason, I disconnect it by mistake.
The uptimes are a piece of crap, because, first of all, I enabled the MRTG graphing just a day before I left for my vacation, and then, after I got back, I disabled the DHCP server, so when the lease ended, I thought the server had crashed, and rebooted it...

Today, when I was cleaning a bit, I sent to hell all of my boxes.
