Movies During The Weekend

We had (sort of) a four day weekend around here, so with the GF we had to watch a shit load of movies no matter what...

• Salem's Lot

We finally finished it.

• Paranormal Activity

Watched this one on Popcorn Flix, a free movies Roku channel.
Boring, except for a very few instances.

• The Counselor

A re-watch on my case, but not for the GF, so we dived onto it...
Still a damn boring movie.

• American Ultra

Nice one, we were expecting this one for quite sometime.
It is sort of a mix of Clerks and The Bourne Identity.

• The Master

Even tho I do like Paul Thomas Anderson films, this one was boring, long and I should have skipped it.

• French Connection

A re-watch for me, but the GF hasn't seen it.

• House Of Cards

We finally did!
We finished the 3rd Season!
In the end, it sort of takes off and it gets a bit better.

Pro Bono

Last night got to see The Counselor.
Well, what can I say... I was expecting more, quite a lot more actually... I mean Scott and a McCarthy...
I read around that the Malkina character, the one played by Cameron Diaz, it is supposedly of argentine origins on the original play.
Seeing how ruthless and diabolical she is, I have no doubts she might a full blooded argie.

The Road, but down South...

This might look like something out of The Road, but, unfortunately it is not.

A little sort of follow up on the volcanic ash thing.....

Taken this morning, granted, the car has been parked in the same spot for a few days, and, of course, this is nothing compared to what's going on in the South, the place looks like something taken out of McCarthy's "The Road", poor people, the prospect of this winter season really went down the drain.

La Carretera

Friday night got a book of which that I'd read a few reviews, and was recommended to me because of the subject matter, post-apocalypse & dystopia, a subject that I don't really know why, stayed with me through out the years.

The book hooked me completely right from the get go, it is an amazing book, not only for the subject, but also on its technique, but don't take my word for it, take it from the ones who know.

The only drawback was that I was forced to read it on Spanish, couldn't find it anywhere around here on it original form.
