Another thousand up, no surprises there, right?
But, this time, after a looooooot of searching, I've been able to re-identify an old song that I was looking for quite some time, somehow lost it on one of the many exodus I had to do from a musical home to another, namely Grooveshark, Rdio, you name it...
The song was The Lightning Seeds' Pure, if you can believe it.

Moving To a (New) New Musical House

Or, Youtube as Spotify's Replacement...
Since the newest version of Spotify's web player stubbornly refuses to scrobble to Last.fm, I've moved my online musical house -once again, fuck me in the gutter- to Youtube, which with the Last.fm Scrobbler extension, my music playing accountability obsession is more than satisfied, at least for the moment. Yes, all of this simply because I like to keep track of what I listen... What can I tell you... It was Grooveshark, then Rdio and now Spotify...

Spotify Ads... Oh My...

I moved to Spotify a couple of days ago.
It is rather good, and I've been able to find a lot of the music that I used to have, not only on Rdio.com, but on Grooveshark as well.
At the moment, I'm using the free version, and I find that they are using a more aggressive approach towards ads than Rdio.com.
Spotify's ads are, first of all, LOUD and on top of that, somehow dynamic -specially compared to the ones that Rdio.com used to have, which were basically all the same- this time of the year they are all of them New Years Electronic Fest related, with an horrible mix of reggeaton and dance music...
Anyways...

Making a New Musical Home..

So, I moved to Spotify a couple of days ago, now that Rdio.com is dead.
I've been re-creating my play-lists, taking the time to delete some crud on the way.
More or less the music I used to listen to on Rdio.com (and Grooveshark before that) is there, so no biggies on that regard...
Two things raised a few concerns, tho, first, the Last.fm scrobbling (on the Spotify's web player, if that matters) is far from perfect... I've missed quite a bunch of plays while listening.
The other one is that somehow (and only on the T430's Firefox, maybe is related to the resolution?) the play-list look like shit; the same thing doesn't happen on the W530, go figure...

Rdio.com Is (Going To Be) Dead!

It's only a matter of days (maybe weeks?) but it's going down...
What a crap!
Moved to Rdio after Grooveshark' s death on May, and now this.
At first, IMHO, Rdio was a bit crappy, coming from Grooveshark, but eventually loved it, discovered a lot of music thru it...
Anyways, as usual, thanks for all the streams!

To Rdio Or To Not Rdio...

Ever since the Grooveshark débâcle, I've been a bit orphaned, music wise.
I've tried Rdio in the past, but got away FAST from it, the ads, the hellish & slow ass interface, but, last week I've decided to give it another shot.
Yes, the GUI is the same crap, dead slow, the effing ads are still here, but I've noticed something new, Rdio it is pretty good are recommending good music!
Actually, I believe that is the only good thing it does, at first, when I finally sort of settle for Rdio.com, I've tried to rebuild what I had on Grooveshark. It turned out to be impossible, I think it is simply not designed to be like that.
But during this week, with the "AutoPlay" button turned on, I've found quite amazing music.
