Yet Another Pair of Glasses

Last Monday picked up a new pair of glasses, this ones are for seeing "far", as opposed to all the other pairs I was using, to see "close".
I guess that is the official seal, I'm definitively old now.
Yet another thing to carry around with me all the time.

Dead Soldiers

They died yesterday, and now they're gone for good.
I've tried over and over to keep them running (Link 1, Link 2, Link 3, Link 4), but this time the damage is beyond repair.

This time the help of some heat shrink tubing, will see how this goes...

The Current Android Desktop

Well, I finally had to cave in...
Had to set the fonts, the whole thing actually, to "Big", even tho with the setting set to small everything looked amazing, it was way too much for my poor old and tired eyes...

So, in the end what I did was to simply get rid of everyone and all of the icons on my beloved Moto's Desktop, only kept the ones in the bottom, which are the most used ones to begin with.
Here is an old screenshot of how the Desktop looked historically, eve tho it is two years old, I didn't change a bit of it once I settle for that.

This Time For Good

Thursday night busted my beloved eye glasses -once again (Link 1, Link 2, Link 3) -...
I guess this time, no matter how much I love this, they are gone, the GF won't let me use them, they are way too ghetto now.

Into The Thinner Eye Glasses

Last Friday got a new pair of eye glasses.
My beloved daily driver pair is about to give up (Link 1, Link 2, Link 3), and I get a "free" pair a year, so what a hell.
Following the GF's advice, got thin ones, so I can look to far things Ok over the eye glasses, and to near things if I look down... You get the idea.
Took me nothing to adapt to this new pair, rather practical, but, flimsy, I'm afraid.

So, yeah... I bust'em once again...
Thursday evening I was having a great time, coffee with the GF, and lo and behold, I broke them.
I love this suckers, I'll keep super-gluing them until I get a new pair that looks exactly the same.

Fixing them, again... What can I say, love this suckers.
Not sure how long they'll last, tho.

Hate using glasses, but I love this piece of crap ones, at least are the only comfortable ones I had so far.
I hate glasses because is just another crap to carry around all the time, and they get dirty, wet, foggy, etc.
Hard to believe, but it is been two years and then some already...

Well, from now on... This is me...

This last couple of weeks I was struggling to actually use the lappies... On my last check, about a year ago, I had the choice, but with the obvious caveat, if you jump, you'll have to wear them forever... At the moment, it didn't seem necessary, but about 20 days ago or so it became unbearable.

So, eye glasses for me! At least for close reading (at the moment).
I have a recurrent problem on my left eye, but this is a whole new ball game... Got them about an hour ago, I'm fighting a new monster here...
One thing is for certain, looking at the lappie's screen is a total relief once again.
