Installing Forticlient SSL on Linux Mint 17 (XFCE)

Another instalment of the eternal Forticlient installation woes on various Linux distros, this time Linux Mint 17, the FXCE variant, 32 bits.

It is really not that complicated, specially since this is on a 32 bits distro.

The plain vanilla installer won't work, since there isn't an Xterm installed (and I don't want to install one).

So, first things first, make the directory where the Forticlient will be installed:

sudo mkdir /usr/local/bin/forticlientsslvpn

And the copy the "forticlientsslvpn" and the directory "helper" to the above directory.
Move to the helper directory:

cd /usr/local/bin/forticlientsslvpn/helper

And edit the file "setup.linux.sh" and comment the line 12, and add a new one just below that looks like this:

xfce4-terminal -e "$0" Save the file.

Execute the installer, that is, execute the file

/usr/local/bin/forticlientsslvpn/forticlientsslvpn

It will ask your password, display a License Agreement scrollable banner, type "Yes" at the end of it.
After that a pop will tell you that installation (the Set up) failed, click Ok and forget about it.
Everything will work A Ok, this has been tested with FortiClient SSL VPN 4.0.2068 on a LM 17 32 bits with all the updates installed as of today.
