The Years Of Salt And Rice

I've already read another Kim Stanly Robinson book, the famous Mars one, but it was a really long, long time ago.
Right after finishing the one on Intel and getting ready for the vacation!
This one seems interesting, although I hate historic books, the alternate history ingredient makes it cool enough.
Sometimes it drags a bit, but then jumps to another chapter and thins speed of right away.
I'm about 30% read, will see how it goes.
