Thinkpad T410: dark video output on Lucid Lynx

Just found there is a problem with the integrated camera on my little and sort of new baby, Usul.

It is producing almost pitch black images -tested using the gstreamer-properties program-, and besides that, using the same program the video output seems really dark.
Not sure how long has this been going on -it worked A Ok when installed-, as I don't use the camera at all, and the luminance of the laptop's LCD seems as good as always did.

I'll keep on testing to see if I find a solution
