Penguin surprises

Call it New World Chauvinism, stupidity or ignorance; but I was totally and utterly convinced that the Penguin Paperback was as a (North) American institution as a Quarter Pound with Cheese...
Live and learn, I guess...
I have to confess that I have (well, used to have anyways... ) sort of as fetish towards Penguin books during my younger years, the orange "sides" were really nice looking on my library ;)
And, of course, the authors were simply the right ones at the moment, not to mention the prices.

That's right. It's a UK Thing. We in the USA can't take credit (or blame) for the mighty penguin books. :)
