We Are Fucked
Just after four days of Spring we already have this shit... 30 degrees, like nothing.
This summer is gonna be a real catastrophe.

Hi to Hictio
I wanted to contact you about something you posted a long time ago on the Arstecnica site here:
https://arstechnica.com/civis/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=538818
Could you please email me at earthmanrobert at gmail.com
Best wishes,
Robert
Wow! That's a 15 years old comment!!
Yes it is. I still have a question about it. It involved syncing a Palm to two different computers. As at most tech forums, not one person offered an answer to you that was helpful. I am curious if you ever solved that problem of why the sync was slow when you switched from one computer to another?
And by the way, I am also very concerned about the climate crisis. Glad you are, too.
Hi there Picard!
(Are you a fellow Trekkie? Are you watching Star trek Discovery? I liked a lot the first season, but the second is unbearable)
Sorry to say, I don't recall having found an answer to that particular problem, I **think** that if I did, I would have posted an update back on the Ars LKF thread you mentioned.
Are you still using a Palm nowadays?
Yes, I am a Trekkie. I like the shows that Roddenberry created: The original and The Next Generation.
I was OK with Deep Space Nine and Voyager. But the other series seem to have lost Roddenberry's vision. Sometimes I wonder if anyone has any visionary ideas anymore. Most science fiction is dystopian rubbish.
I am not even sure what is "Star Trek Discovery" or where it can be seen. Another problem now is how media is so fragmented. We don't have cable and live in a small town with just one TV station.
Yes, I still use a Palm. I do not own a phone. I occasionally think of getting a phone until I find out it can't do the basic things I use the Palm for.
The Palm has a full-sized keyboard that folds up into pocket size. And I can sync it to my computer. Apparently these annoying phones that everyone is addicted to can't even sync to a computer. So useless. People constantly ask about this amazing compact device I have with the keyboard.
